关于此曲在中国的翻译。从法语直译为《给爱德琳的诗》，这也是滚石唱片引进时的译名。而《水边的阿狄丽娜》则是从日语名称翻译过来的。而并非原作者的意思。<br><br>
1976年作曲家兼制作人Olivier Toussaint谱写了一首抒情乐曲献给新生的女儿，一方面也征询适当的演奏者。没想到一位巴黎音乐院第一名毕业的钢琴演奏者，得到这个机会。<br>
理查．克莱德门(Richard Clayderman)这个名字也因为一曲《给艾德琳的诗》，意外的成为家喻户晓的超级明星。<br>
从1977年的第一张专辑出版至今，35个年头，他的录音全球销售超过八千五百万张。除了英俊又带点稚气的笑脸，纤细带点华丽的温柔琴声，打动了千万人心。<br><br>
阿狄丽娜来自于希腊神话的故事。<br>
希腊神话里有一个美丽的传说。很久很久以前，有个孤独的塞浦路斯国王，名叫皮格马利翁（Pygmalion）。他雕塑了一个美丽的少女，每天对着她痴痴地看，最终不可避免地爱上了少女的雕像。他向众神祈祷，期盼着爱情的奇迹。他的真诚和执着感动了爱神阿芙洛狄忒（Aphrodite），赐给了雕塑以生命。<br>
从此，幸运的国王就和美丽的少女生活在一起，过着幸福的生活。<br>
